Thai Iced Tea

01 Ingredients

  • 1 cupstrong black tea leaves (ceylon)
  • 2 tbspstar anise
  • ground tamarind, or any other spice (to taste)
  • 1 tbspground ginger
  • 6 cupsboiling water
  • 2limes, juiced
  • 1/2 cupsugar
  • 1/2 cupcondensed milk
  • 1 cupcoconut milk
  • 1 bunchthai basil

02 Instructions

  1. steep tea, star anise, spice and ginger in boiling water for 5 minutes
  2. stir in Sugar and condensed milk until dissolved
  3. place mixture in the fridge until cool
  4. stir in lime juice
  5. pour in mixture into glasses with ice, and top off with ¼ cup coconut milk
  6. garnish with sprig of basil leaves
